Designing Homes for Living Well.

Amy Krause

Hi, I’m Amy Krause.

I started Amy Krause Design in 2013 with a vision of building a thoughtful, collaborative design practice — one where great design isn’t just about aesthetics, but about improving how people live in their homes every day.

What inspires me most about this work is helping clients discover what their homes can become. Whether it’s a kitchen that brings family together, a living room that naturally gathers friends, or a retreat-like bath designed for restoration, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel personal, cohesive, and deeply supportive of daily life.

One of my favorite moments happens long after the project is complete. It’s when a client says, “This is more than I could have imagined,” and shares that they’re using their home in new ways.

Those moments remind me why thoughtful design matters.

Today I have the privilege of working with clients who value curiosity, collaboration, and the opportunity to explore what their homes could become.

I look forward to exploring what your home could become too.

She delivered the wow-factor.

“Amy Krause did a spectacular job with the interior design of a condo conversion project in the Westside Kansas City area. A former area supermarket was remodeled into 3 individual condominiums and Amy captured the essence of the neighborhood delivering a hip, urban feel blending the best of the original structural features, like 20′ ceilings with modern and open space design.

“Amy laid out the entire kitchen workspace complete with a giant island, ensuring that workspaces met industry standards for comfort and flexibility. Custom cabinetry was specified that delivered maximum functionality of the space available.

“By hiring Amy the entire project came together without incident. Everything went together as envisioned and the finished product delivered the WOW factor we were looking for. If you are considering hiring an interior designer, you can’t go wrong with Amy. She is conscientious, technically adept and has a good vision for what the end product will look like. She is easy to work with and I am quite confident that if you engage Amy, you will not be disappointed.”
